Do you hear God calling you for some definite purpose?
Our Lord does have work that he wants you to do. For many, it is the job that they are already in. You will preach Christ by the way you treat other people. They will know from your speech and actions that you are a follower of Jesus.
Whatever happens to you may be a part of the job God has for you
Amazingly, even our setbacks and failures can fit into God's plan. Vern, a recovering alcoholic and man of prayer, changed the lives of many alcoholics.
Does your life have purpose?
Your hardships and sufferings have purpose. They help you understand Christ's Passion and His deep love for you. Your continued belief in God... even when you have serious difficulties... helps others to believe.
"Thanks be to God," or a "Blessed be God," said in times of adversity have more value than a thousand thank you's in times of prosperity. (Father M. de Avila)
God calls us to live a life pleasing to Him and that includes helping others, whether they are family members or strangers. You can give financially, or by volunteering your time and talents. Don't wait to be asked... volunteer!
If you are not sure what you would like to accomplish in your lifeā¦ prayer can help.
God created me
to do Him some definite service;
He has committed some work to me
which He has not committed to another.
I have my mission -
I may never know it in this life,
but I shall be told it in the next...
Therefore, I will trust Him...
If I am in sickness,
my sickness may serve Him;
in perplexity,
my perplexity may serve Him;
if I am in sorrow,
my sorrow may serve Him...
He does nothing in vain;
He may prolong my life,
He may shorten it,
He knows what He is about.
