The Saints
Saints are people whose lives are God-centered and not self-centered.
When they are on earth, they put God first, instead of themselves first. They give God all the credit for the good deeds they do. They are now with God in heaven.
The Church formally recognizes some as saints. Many saints are also martyrsbecause they gave their life rather than give up their faith in Jesus Christ.

Saints are found in every walk of life. A person can turn from a life of sin and become a saint. All of us can become saints. The only thing holding us back is not giving God first place in our lives.
People find it easy to identify with the earthly life and struggles of a particular saint, and to ask that saint for help.
